The phone assistant runs on a prepaid wallet and is charged by the second. All prices are net, plus VAT.
Each assistant has its own number and wallet. The wallet shows your balance with VAT, in your account’s currency.
The e-mail code is free. SMS codes, if you switch them on, are charged from your wallet; the price depends on the caller’s country.
Questions you might have
Do I keep my own number?
Yes. You keep your mobile and office numbers, and forward calls to your Galatea number: always, when you’re busy, or after a few rings. Callers keep dialling the number they already know.
What does the caller hear first?
Your assistant greets them in your name: “Good afternoon, this is Galatea, Tom Bennett’s personal AI assistant. How can I help?” You choose a female or a male voice, and you can give it another name.
Can callers book without me approving?
By default, yes: your assistant books callers into your free times straight away. If you’d rather say yes yourself, turn on approval in Settings, or for single services only.
What if the caller doesn’t want to give their e-mail?
You decide what your assistant asks for when someone books. The e-mail address is off by default. If you switch it on and the caller doesn’t want to give it, your assistant doesn’t book: it takes a message, and you call them back.
Which languages does the assistant speak?
English, Hungarian, Spanish, French and Portuguese today.
Where are my calls stored?
In Frankfurt, in the EU. There is no voice recording: your assistant writes a transcript, which is kept for 90 days, and you can delete it sooner.
How do I stop forwarding?
On your phone: we show you the code to switch it off for your carrier, just like the one to switch it on. After that, calls ring on your own phone again.
Can I have both assistants?
Yes. The Galatea Private Assistant organises programmes with your friends. Under one login you get two separate assistants, each with its own number and wallet, and you switch between them at the top of the app.
