The story behind our name
In the Greek myth, the sculptor Pygmalion carved a statue so beautiful that he fell in love with her, and the goddess Aphrodite brought her to life. Her name was Galatea.
We borrowed her name, and with it that moment when cool marble turns into warm skin. Every good appointment is a little like that: skilled hands, a little care, and you, more comfortable in your own skin.
